Mr. and Mrs. Clark began constructing their garden oasis in 1972 and opened it to the public in 2000. You will find trails lined with boxwoods, irises, tulips, daylilies as well as other varied plants. You will also find a Historic Tree Trail that has trees that are direct descendents from the Civil War, a Lewis and Clark Cottonwood from Montana and a Harry S. Truman ginkgo as well. An All-American Rose Selection Test Garden is located within the park as well to test whether or not various rose plants will survive here. There is a beautiful chapel to have weddings in and one of the best features of the park is "Clark Station." This is an area that is a replica of a rail depot. There are four model trains that ride the tracks inside the station as well as outside. This is a spot in the park that cannot be missed. Whenever I have been over there, Mr. Clark has been in attendance running his trains. He has always been happy to talk about his train station and the park.
